Everyone at MBC is very much saddened to hear that Kenny ‘KJ’ Doleman passed away at the weekend.

Kenny was a legendary character of bowls in Sheffield & the South Yorkshire bowling community. Everyone who knew Kenny will we’re sure have their own wonderful memories and stories to tell of his exploits over the years at Crookesmoor, British Rail / Farm Road, Hollinsend and latterly at MBC. Apologies to any others I’ve failed to mention. It seems so inadequate to say that he will be sorely missed and very fondly remembered.

Our very best wishes and kindest thoughts are with all KJ’s family and many friends.

KJ, we’re sure you’re up there already enjoying a pint and telling an enthralled audience how to play that great crown green in the sky, in your own unique way.
