Dillon Christopherson Junior Champion Of Champion Winner 2019

The annual Champion Of Champions event run at Wadsley House saw MBC bring home 2 trophies this weekend with Dillon Christopherson beating Jacob Parratt in the Junior final and Andrea Ainley beating fellow MBC player Sue Hill in the Ladies Final.

Andrea Ainley Ladies Champion Of Champions Winner 2019

The junior event was run on a round robin basis with Dillon beating James Haigh 21-05 and then playing Jacob to a 13-13 draw which meant both players progressed to the final. The final was a close run contest with both bowlers playing consistently well, Dillon took control of the game at 15 across and run over the line for a 21-15 victory.

Ladies Winner Andrea AInley, Ladies Runner Up Sue Hill & Junior Winner Dillon Christopherson

In the ladies event Sue Hill came up against Debbie Whitworth in a Semi-Final worthy of being the final, Sue came from 18-10 down to beat Debbie 21-20 in a fantastic game, in the other Semi-Final Andrea Ainley beat Joan Ramage 21-13 to set up the all MBC final. For Sue this was her first time in the Champion of Champions and a second appearance for Andrea, with neither having won the event before there was sure to be a new name on the trophy, the final result seeing Andrea come through a 21-11 Winner.

Congratulations to all.

MBC does Sport Relief 2018

BannerFor Sport Relief 2018, MBC will be taking part in the official Sport Relief Sweepstake – Guess Jonnie’s Steps! Guess how many steps Paralympic sprinter Jonnie Peacock will track on the Sport Relief app in one day!

For £2 per go, everyone will be given the chance to guess how many steps Jonnie accomplished in the day! The person who guesses the closest number to Jonnie’s step total is the winner – they get to keep half the cash, while the rest goes to Sport Relief to help change lives.

Just £2 could buy a test that quickly and accurately diagnoses 6 people with malaria in Malawi so they can get the right treatment, fast.

Lets help change lives today at MBC

How to enter

The official Sport Relief poster is on the end of the bar with a donations box. Simply put your name on the sheet and your guess, and put your £2 in the box! An overflow sheet will also be put on the bar for when the official sheet has filed up – there are only 30 spaces!

Please feel free to donate more than the £2 entry fee! Any extra donations will not be part of the sweepstake prize money, and will be donated to Sport Relief.

Jonnie’s official step count will be published online after 3pm on Friday 23rd March, and the winner of the sweepstake will be published online as soon as possible.
