Some news for you regarding the subscriptions for 2026.

Footfall and income was again down slightly during 2025, and these schemes have been proposed by the Directors, and agreed at the AGM to help secure, and build on our recent successes.

**Please note** that your 2026 membership subscriptions will be due on January 1st. As passed at the AGM, please see details of the new membership subscription prices in the attached image and on notice boards in the Club.
Membership fees have remained as per last year. Due to the successful implementation of this scheme over the last couple of years, there will once again be a £10 discount to members and shareholder members paying in January, and a £5 discount to those paying in February. The £10 joining fee for new members has once again been waived.
This has all been approved at the November AGM again, to give a little back to existing members and hopefully attract new members too. Also approved by the AGM again, to help attract new members, any new full members recruited before the 31st March 2026 will receive their membership for half price, along with the member proposing them.
Remember our members are our chief sales people and recruiters. If you might know anyone interested in joining please let them, and also all your clubmates know about the discounted membership fees and discount for for early payment.
Please remember that subscription payment by instalments may be available by request, as per Bye Law 2 (A copy of the Bye Laws is available in the club and on the website).

2025 Annual General Meeting – Tuesday 11th November at 8pm
An AGM meeting has been called for all Full Members & Shareholders. A full attendance would be appreciated for this important meeting, please all try your best to be in attendance.

MBC’s 150th Birthday Celebration Final Event!

Friday 31st October 2025.

We are almost at the end of our celebration year. Our final event will be a Spooky Spectacular!

We’ve had a great turnout for our events so far but we are hoping to make this the biggest one yet! There will be a sheet going up at MBC on Monday for members to confirm their attendance to this final celebration.

As a bonus anyone who enters their name on the sheet before the 30th September will receive 25 free raffle tickets to be used on the night. Anyone who adds their name on between 1st October and 30th October will receive 10 free raffle tickets so it’s in your interest to get your name down ASAP. There’ll be some fantastic prizes up for grabs!

There’ll also be a special prize for the best Halloween themed outfit!

Event 4 – Good Friday 18th April. 10:00 am onwards

One for your diaries! Join us for the fourth of our special events to commemorate our 150th Anniversary! This event will be a Fun Day on Good Friday, starting at 10am for all Members, and we want to see as many of you there as possible to support the 150th Anniversary Committee. They are doing a wonderful job organising and running these events to commemorate our special anniversary year.

The details for the day have yet to be finalised but once they are we’ll update you as soon as we can!

Event 3 – Friday 21st February. 19:30 onwards

Join us for the third of our special events to commemorate our 150th Anniversary! This event is for all our Members, and we want to see as many of you there as possible to support the 150th Anniversary Committee. They are doing a wonderful job organising and running these events to commemorate our special anniversary year. The previous events have all been a great success, so if you’ve not been able to join us at one yet, do try to attend so you don’t miss out on the fun!
On the night there’ll be discounted drinks once again, a music quiz, roulette, stand up & card bingo, raffle and a Grand National Sweepstake!
